Element: Identify focus of benchmarking activity
  • Review organisational information and consult with stakeholders to identify process or performance area that can benefit from benchmarking
  • Determine process steps, performance characteristics and critical success factors for selected area
  • Determine core measures relevant to process or performance area and expected benefits
       
Element: Develop the benchmarking methodology
  • Determine baseline for core measures in area of study
  • Confirm nature and source of data and/or information to be collected
  • Identify suitable sources of benchmarking data and/or information
  • Develop survey methodology to meet data and/or information needs

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
